As of the February 2020 meeting, we have come to the difficult decision that we are no longer able to be an active guild.

Guild History

The Bishop Hill Fiber Guild was started in 1982 by 4 women who decided to get together in each their homes to share the joy of fiber arts. The guild continued to grow and had a membership of over 70 members. Our members come from all over Illinois; we even have members in Missouri and Iowa.

Our Guild was dedicated to the fiber arts as a whole. Having members who participate in all aspects of fiber arts. We were very active in the education of the public about fiber arts and helping individuals learn new skills.

We also have members who are willing and able to tune, repair, and restore spinning wheels, looms, and other fiber arts equipment.
